Welcome to the Fusiliers’ Museum.

Come and meet the team!

'Heritage Open Days' is a once-a-year national event coordinated by the Civic Trust and English Heritage to celebrate England's architecture and culture. The idea is that free entry is offered to the public to places which are normally closed or which charge for admission. It's an opportunity to discover hidden architectural treasures and enjoy tours, events and activities which bring to life local history and culture.

History

Since the Regiment was raised in 1688 as “Peyton’s Own’, the Lancashire Fusiliers’ history has been a colorful and glorious one. After amalgamation with three other Fusilier Regiments in 1968 to form the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, the story has continued with world-wide involvement in both conflict and peace-keeping.
